New Game Tuesday, Games Releasing 3/5 - 3/11

This week is definitely slim when it comes to major releases, but considering the massive releases the last few weeks have been, with a massive February window, this week will help some gamers catch up on the games they are trying to play. Still however, two major titles stand out. Left Alive looks to be another interesting PS4 title, as well as the much anticipated Devil May Cry 5 wont have much competition this week.

"New Game Tuesday" showcases major game releases from Tuesday to the following Monday. Scroll down to see if any of the major releases appeal to you!

1. Devil May Cry 5

Release Date: 3/8

Platforms: Xbox One, PS4, PC

Developer/Publisher: Capcom

In an astonishing move that is pretty rare, DMC 5 was revealed as a continuation of the original games seemingly abandoning the mixed reviewed rebooth DMC (2013) As someone who only played the reboot and not the originals, I expect to know little of what is going on. I got in to the game thinking that a reboot is a good place to get into a series, but as a new "fan" of the series some may be confuzed. While it is odd to abandon a reboot and go back to an original and make a sequel, the content so far looks very promising so far. I was able to play to exlusive early Xbox demo and I was pretty happy with the smooth gameplay and visuals. While not perfect, the demo definitely played better than the disasterous demos from Anthem and Black Desert we have seen so far this year. I am excited to check out DMC 5 when it launches on March 8.

2. Left Alive

Release Date: 3/5* (West Launch, early in Japan)

Platforms: PS4, PC

Developer/Publisher: Square Enix

Left Alive has been available for pre-order for quite a long time, and during that entire time, very little has been shown, mentioned, or talked about this game. As one of the first PS4 "console" exlusive of 2019, it hasn'y gotten much attention. This may have something to do with early release Japan reviews to be poor. This survival shooter game may be worth a wait to the bargain bin; however it looks intrigueing so let's hope today's launch will alleviate those fears.
